Question everything
Apply critical thinking at all times.
Always understand the “Why”.
Don’t take anything as a given.
Be thorough in each step of the way.

Make it clear
Huminize the HCI as an approach.
The user is the end goal, put myself in their shoes every step of the way, to see if everything is clear.
Fast and slow thinking mechanisms in design practice - Immidiate vs. learnt understanding.(“According to system one, the world should be a predictable, straight-forward and easy to understand place. But this is simply an illusion.” [Thinking Fast and Slow , Daniel Kahneman])

Tell a story
Macro - Micro attention: connect each small flow to the greater product picture/experience.
Design for systems that scale in the long run and sustain unpredictable use cases.
Focus complexity. Function driven - no decorations or extras that have no fuction/value to the user and “put” obstacles in the user journey.

My Approach to Experience
When approaching any experience I examine it from four parallel layers,
together they define my design thinking process.
together they define my design thinking process.
What is the contextual field?
(What is the content world, who is the persona and the users, what is the flow)
How the experience is conveyed?
(What should be the interaction, what type of layout should be applied, what are the characteristics of the animation…)
What is the feel of the experience?
(What is the Look and Feel, what is the visual experience)
What are my guiding metaphors?
(What metaphors can I use to deliver the message and create successful experience)

My Design Process
Designing is a never ending loop of questions and answers.
When designing I follow the steps below, no matter where in the process I start the project.
The collaboration with the team I am working with is at the heart of everything.
